HOME REMEDIES FOR COUGH

WHAT IS COUGHING?

The cough has several causes, a cold, a small flu, an immune weakness and hop, you have the cough.
Although most of the time it is safe, it is still painful:

In benign coughs have 2 types :

1) SYRUPS
Syrups are the most suitable for fat coughs, but if you suffer from dry coughs you can still enjoy their benefits.

CIDER VINEGAR SYRUP + HONEY + LEMON JUICE
In a small jar, mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of organic cider vinegar.
Consume 3 teaspoons throughout the day.
This syrup will clear your throat, and make sputum easier.

CAYENNE PEPPER SYRUP
In a very small jar, mix 4 tablespoons of honey and 3 pinches of cayenne pepper.
Consume 2 teaspoons per day.
This syrup will calm throat irritations, and thin the mucus to be expelled.

ONION SYRUP
Finely chop a medium onion, put it in a saucepan in a double boiler, add 1 cup of honey and cover.
Simmer for 2 hours, let cool.
Take 1 tablespoon of this syrup every 2 hours.
This syrup will help the mucus to rise and evacuate.

CLOVE SYRUP
In a honey cup add 10 to 15 cloves and leave to macerate overnight.
Consume a teaspoon 2 to 3 times a day, the anti-inflammatory properties of cloves will calm throat irritations and the resulting pain.

2) INFUSIONS AND HOT DRINKS

THYME INFUSION
Heat water, add 2 sprigs of thyme.
Drink this hot infusion twice a day.
Thyme has antiseptic properties that will accelerate healing processes.


MARSHMALLOW-BASED HERBAL TEA
Infuse 2 teaspoons of dried marshmallow in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes, soaked in water, the marshmallow releases a mucilage that will cover your throat and act as a protective layer on the walls of it, which will calm the irritation.
Consume 3 cups per day.

SPICE TEA
Bring about 1 cup of water to a boil, in which you will add:
½ teaspoon of ginger powder
½ coffee spoon of ground cinnamon
2 to 3 cloves
Consume 2 to 3 cups per day.

GREEN TEA + LEMON
In a cup of green tea, add the juice of a lemon, preferably during the day.
Green tea contains antioxidants and lemon contains vitamin C.

CONSUME PROPOLIS
Here, not knowing which form of propolis you are going to buy, refer to the instructions.
There are propolis syrups, propolis candies, and propolis sprays.
Propolis has healing, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties.

CYPRESS ESSENTIAL OIL + RED MYRTLE ESSENTIAL OIL
These essential oils are known for their antitussive, decongestant, mucolytic and antispamodic properties.
Never apply them or consume them dry.
Put 1 drop of each essential oil in a teaspoon of honey or vegetable oil of your choice (coconut, sunflower, olive.......).
Consume 3 to 4 times a day, for 3 to 5 days, no more.
In children over 8 years old 1 to 2 times a day.
